This charming egg tree uses plastic eggs that are so abundant and economical this time of year, eliminating the need to hollow out real ones.
The shimmery goodness creates a festive backdrop to your Easter décor. Use it indoors, or delight your guests outside under a covered patio.
- 10 plastic eggs (make sure they have vent holes at the top)
- Spray Adhesive
- Opalescent Glitter
- Rock weights
- Twigs from freshly trimmed trees or use dried branches
Begin by cutting an 18” length of twine for each egg and thread it through the vent holes at the top of the egg
Spray the egg liberally with adhesive and dip it in the glitter to coat
Repeat with the other 9 eggs
While your eggs are drying, place a few branches into your vase
Pour in the rock weights to secure the branches
Tie the eggs onto the branches, staggering heights and lengths
Knot at the top and cut the excess string
Enjoy all the sparkle as you anticipate the delight of Spring
