There are five things I never (well rarely ever) pay for. I get these items for free 98% of the time…and you can too!
- Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
- Body Wash
So how do I get these items for free? It’s a mixture of watching for sales, using coupons and striking while the iron is hot!
Razors, Toothbrushes & Toothpaste & Body Wash
These items can be snagged for free at least once a month at your local drugstore! CVS, Walgreens & Rite Aid all have fantastic rewards programs that can result in free products when combined with coupons! Simply keep an eye out for sales that offer rewards and pair the item with a coupon, and voila!
Here’s an example scenario:
Make Me Clean Body Wash is on sale for $3.99 a bottle
CVS is offering $2 in Extra Care Bucks (basically a coupon for $2 off your next purchase) when you purchase Make Me Clean Body Wash
You have a $1 off Make Me Clean Body Wash Coupon
After rewards and coupons…you just got your body wash for FREE!
You can repeat these scenarios monthly and never pay for these toiletries again! The key is not being picky or brand specific and keeping a close eye on the sales every week. Check out my article on why you should play the drugstore game to learn more!
Pick a time of year and someone somewhere is giving away free pictures. You might have to pay shipping, but the pictures themselves are free! Check out Snapfish, York Photo, Walgreens Photo, Shutterfly, etc. Google for coupon codes and check for special promotions. When I notice someone having a sale on pictures, I stock up! I try to wait to develop pictures until I can get the pictures for free or free with shipping.
I wrote an article here on Momtastic very recently about how you should never pay full price for magazines. It’s true, I never do. Honestly I get most of my magazine subscriptions for totally free by using coupon codes and shopping the discount subscription sites! Read my post on saving on magazine subscriptions for more information.
